Continuing with the man made macro theme (I promise I won't do this forever) I grabbed my Brighton ring for a photoshoot. I took this one outside and set it on my husbands old rusty grill. I really like the one solid line of rust you can see just under the ring. I also like how the ring just pops off this reddish, rusty background and the way the subtle color changes in the ring are visible.

Stacey’s 365 Project- Day 42

This is not the first coin I have shot, and likely not my last (as a bicentennial baby, I need to get the back of the 1976 bicentennial quarter). I really loved the eagle on the back of this one, and took it outside to a stainless steal table we have in the backyard to photograph it in the sun. I really love the way the eagle stands out here. The way this eagle was recessed helped, I took a picture of another coin where the engraving was very shallow and it just doesn't come out like this did.

Stacey’s 365 Project- Day 41

Practicing with my macro photography today. I am still looking for items that I can shoot in macro that are man made. My mom bought me these pretty little measuring spoons, and I thought the details in the spoon may make for a neat macro picture. I do kind of like the way this turned out. Of course it isn't a picture I would normally think to take, since generally we take pictures of things we want to remember (people, places, events) but never-the-less it's a neat photo, and helps me to work on my photography skills, and macro skills.
